Sandown boasts the Island's premier leisure pier. Although the sister resorts of Shanklin and Ventnor both once had similar structures, both were lost in the 1980s to storm damage and now only Sandown pier remains on the south east coast of the Isle of Wight. The pier provides great entertainment for rainy days or after a full day on the beach.
Featuring all the fun of the fair and a range of amusement arcade attractions, the pier retains all the traditional charm of a day by the seaside with some modern twists including up to date video games and the rainforest themed Lost World Crazy Golf course.
For some good, honest family fun, raid the penny jar and head to the slot machines, enjoy toffee apples and candyfloss, and walk to the end of the pier to enjoy stunning views of Sandown Bay. Entrance to the pier and amusements is free and open all year round, with rides and games individually priced.
