Isle of Wight
Sandown Pier dates back to 1879. Retaining all the charms of the traditional seaside break, Sandown Pier boasts all the fun of the fair with a helter skelter, spinning teacups and bumper cars all located at the end of the pier.
The indoor arcade is ideal for all weathers, with a huge Magic Island children's play area. The rainforest themed Lost World Crazy Golf course is great fun, and there are games for the whole family including 10-pin bowling. Parents can relive the childhood memories of the penny slot machines while the kids enjoy modern day video games in the amusement arcade.
There's also change to stop and enjoy some traditional donuts, candy floss and toffee apples at the two cafes! The opportunity to walk out above the sea is as exciting to children now as it once was to the many Victorian visitors, and the views from the pier are superb.
Sandown Pier is open all year round and entrance is free, with some attractions and rides individually priced and operating seasonally.
